Since the publication of the first issue in September 2007, The Literacy Tribune’s readership and impact have grown in ways we never expected. The Literacy Tribune has become both a tool for adult learners to practice their developing literacy skills and a vehicle for them to share their experiences and their writing. Every issue features learners like Juan Munoz and Amanda Norwood who share their personal stories of struggling with literacy, how they sought help, and how they are thriving. In addition, learners like Rodolfo Diaz and Sharon Briones have shared their poetry and essays in the hope of inspiring adult learners like themselves.
While The Literacy Tribune seeks to educate and inform its readers, its main goal is to create a voice and a community for adult learners throughout the United States. And the feedback from both learners and literacy organizations tells us The Literacy Tribune is doing just that.
But for The Literacy Tribune to continue and grow, United Literacy is asking you to please consider sponsoring an issue. Your financial support allows United Literacy not only to continue to publish The Literacy Tribune, but to make it available for FREE to adult learners and literacy organizations. Your gift is vital to both the future of The Literacy Tribune and United Literacy.
Your contribution will make a direct difference in the lives of adult learners today. A contribution in any amount will be greatly appreciated and well used.
United Literacy would like to honor your contribution with a special thank you in our sponsor’s section of a future issue of The Literacy Tribune.
